It has clean beaches ,old ruins and a  hospitable old culture. Away from the heavy crowd and traffic if you wish to have a peaceful holiday you can come to the  Jewel of Turkey. Its sandy beaches ,the Manavgat Waterfalls ,ancient ruins of Temple along the seaside ,the roman Baths and the  harbor. There are many sight seeing in this little place.

 

There is a unmatchable range of adventurous sports that you can enjoy in Side. You have golf, water sports, mountaineering , boating , fishing etc organized in different months of the year. There are large and wide Golden sandy beaches alongside you will see either ancient ruins or the restaurants where you can have the lovely Turkish cuisine mostly made from fish .

 

The shops are flooded with Turkish Handicrafts and the famous Turkish Gold Jewellary. You will want to buy everything you see. The meaning of Side in local language is pomegranate  and originally Side was a harbor city and historically it was am important trade point and later developed into a predominant center of the slave market.

 

The weather is that of the Mediterranean ,you have cold winter for temperatures not less than 15  ° C  in January and December. The sea water in winter are enjoyable for visiting this place and water sporting. The sunshine in winters are minimum for 5 hrs a day in winters.

 

The food are made from fishes combined with the cultural Turkish style food. There are restaurants on the sea side and you can view the sea having grilled food in open. Drinks are also offered in the restaurants. There are a few party points also available in the city. You can enjoy the whole day with different sports on the sea then have food in the evening and still feel very fresh to start of again.
