There are a wide range of food in Side .The mix of the Main Turkish food and the local fish specialties that make it delightful. Fishes are generally eaten in open areas. The grilled fish are the best ones. You have many other varieties like the ones in Tarabya and Bebek.
The restaurants are either located close to the seaside or the waiter move from the sea to their restaurants and then the food are served in the open area close to the sea.
You can watch the sea coming to your table while eating the delicious hot good food or having the great coffee. If you are a late party goers you don't have many options in Side and alcohol and beer are also not very economical in Side.
Food business is very classical of Side. The way to eat and drink are also performed in a religious manner. You cannot have a food or drink alone .All the family or group of people sit together for the food.
Oranges, mandarin Oranges, and bananas are among the winter fruits. For most of the spring and summer, fruit is eaten fresh. Later, it may be used fresh or dried, in competes, or made into jams and preserves. Summer is marked by peaches, watermelons and melons; then, all kinds of grapes ripen in late summer, followed by green and purple figs, plums, apples, pears and quince.
After the food you can have fruits delights as well specially made in Turkish style. A common sweet of Turkey is baklava. Other are kebab, halva, milk desserts, puddings and pastry. |
